Synopsis[edit]

Charles, Oliver and Mabel are now implicated in the murder of Board President, Bunny Folger.[1]

Plot[edit]

Having arrested Mabel Mora for the suspected murder of Bunny Folger, the police play back the podcast to her in which she describes a recurring dream of hers. In the dream, she is attacked by an unknown assailant and stabs him in the back with her knitting needle; this is identical to the way in which Bunny was killed and provides incriminating evidence that Mabel could be the killer the police are looking for.

Detective Williams warns the investigators to stop.

More and more evidence begins to amass against the three investigators. It is clear that they all hated Bunny and therefore had motive to kill her had the opportunity presented itself. Mabel makes it clear that they have been framed by someone using the podcast against them. The police question Mabel further and reveal that there is a missing knife that was also used to kill Bunny; the knife is missing, and the police ask where Mabel has hidden it. After questioning, the police decide that the trio are no longer suspects, but are still persons of interest in the case and therefore discharge the three of them. They're told that the podcast must stop and they must find a new hobby to keep them busy.

Charles, Mabel, and Oliver head back to their apartments, with both Charles and Oliver desperate to start up their podcast again with a sequel to find out who murdered Bunny. Mabel, however, has had a change of heart and doesn't want to to continue the podcast, she wants an ordinary life.

Since the death of Bunny, Charles, Mabel, and Oliver have become the talk-of-the-town, and both Charles and Mabel find themselves very popular. Charles is later informed that the creators of Brazzos want to restart the nineties show, but this time, Charles is to play the uncle and not the main detective. Mabel, however, is approached by gallery-owner Alice, who has seen her mural and fallen in love with it.

Whilst Mabel and Charles are both busy with their new acquaintances, Oliver runs into Amy Schumer in the elevator of the Arconia. She is moving into Sting's vacant apartment, and after the two begin talking, Amy offers to buy the rights to the podcast so that she can create a series adaptation of the podcast.

Meanwhile, Cinda Canning, releases a new episode of her podcast in which she trash-talks the investigators. She reveals that she is starting her own investigation into the death of Bunny Folger. As a result of Canning's announcement, the trio meet up and decide that they must prove their innocence and defend themselves.

Having decided to investigate the murder, the trio are surprised when they hear Bunny's voice through the vents of her apartment. They break into her apartment to investigate, but find that it is her pet bird mimicking Folger's voice. They decide that now is the prime moment to snoop around the apartment to find any incriminating evidence that could prove their innocence or make them seem guilty; Oliver wishes to pay particular attention to some death threats he sent her during her battle to oust him from the Arconia.

Whilst in the Arconia, Charles, Mabel, and Oliver are interrupted when Uma and Howard enter the apartment forcing them to hide in the closet. Uma and Howard are looking for an erotic painting they believe is valued at around $1,000,000. Whilst avoiding detection by Uma and Howard, the trio are surprised to find a secret elevator that takes them to the ground floor.

Suddenly, Mabel has a flashback to Bunny's last words. She suddenly remembers that Bunny's last words were "Savage", not "Fourteen", as she believed earlier. Meanwhile, Charles finds the million-dollar painting hanging from the wall in his bedroom, and it becomes clear that someone is trying to frame Charles.
